Android Area and Perimeter-Measuring App

This is an area- and perimeter-measuring app based on the GPS sensor in your Android phone.

Simply press the green button to start walking and measure the area and perimeter of the field. You can stop the measurement at any time by pressing the pause button. When you are done with the walking, the results will be calculated and you can get the area in m² and the perimeter in m or ft.

If there is any obstruction, you can pause the measurement and move on to the next accessible point.

The app will automatically connect the last position with the first position, so you don't have to worry about closing the area.

For convenience, area and perimeter are presented in both imperial and metric units.

You can now send the GPS data to your (or other peoples') email account.

You can use the GPX-part and paste it into a GPS-visualizer.
